In 1993, Craig Hare organized and lead a climbing expedition to Lobuje East in Nepal
at 6119m. This classic triangle-shaped peak makes an imposing presence at the head
of the Pheriche Valley, located in the upper Khumbu region of Nepal, near Everest
Base Camp. The true East Peak is quite striking and is reached by descending into
a marked notch and climbing steep snow/ice slopes to the top.
