After climbing Mount Logan, Christian Otto organized the Mount McKinley Research expedition while still a fourth year medical student.

Working again with MSAT and the Ottawa Heart Institute, the research team examined the effects of high altitude on the brain’s control of the heart, how high altitude affects sleep, the effects of low oxygen on muscle physiology, and the transmission of medical data from remote environments. The entire seven person expedition team summitted Mount McKinley, and collected valuable research data.
