Steve is an avid outdoorsman who has dedicated the last twenty years to outdoor
pursuits, principally involving travel, first aid and rescue in the alpine environment.
The Whistler Mountain Professional Ski Patrol has employed Steve since 1995 using
his extensive skills

in both Mountain and Ski rescue.
He has been working for the last two years for the patrol on a consulting basis
and is also now currently a member of the Whistler Mountain Doctors Program. Steve
also was employed for ten years by the British Columbia Forest Service working in
Wildland Fire Suppression since 1993 and was a member of the inaugural Ministry
of Forests Rope Rescue Program, which was developed in 1994.
Steve completed both a Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree at the University of
Dublin, Trinity College.
He is also an alumnus of the University of Victoria where he completed a Bachelor
of Science degree.
